Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System for Care and Support (Learning Disabilities and/or Autism)
Blackpool Council seeks to establish a Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System for care and support for people who have learning disabilities and/or Autism). • The Care and Support that each Service User receives will be tailored to their individual needs. This will encompass a range of care and support from low level interventions to high level intensive needs. • The Care and Support provided may comprise of shared background support, individual support, sleep in or waking watch provision supported by assistive technology where appropriate. • Care and Support may be delivered within the Service User’s home or place of residence, or may be community based depending on the needs of the Service User as identified in the Support Plan. The PDPS will be divided into 2 lots based on categories of services/specialisms as follows: Lot 1 – care and support services for people with learning disabilities and/or autism Lot 2 – Complex care and support for people with learning disabilities and/or autism, who display behaviour that challenges, including those with a mental health condition. All providers who pass the exclusion and selection criteria will be awarded a contract and admitted to the PDPS under the relevant lots.
