The information we collect is held for two reasons: firstly, to provide the required service levels expected of a provider to you and second, to provide you with notifications, news, and alerts specific to your interests.

Information you voluntarily provide to us

When you sign up for and use our services, consult with our team, send us an email, or communicate with us in any way, you are voluntarily giving us information that we collect.

We will not pass your contact details to other organisations unless you agree.

Our lawful basis for processing your data

It is in AssuredBID’s legitimate business interest to keep its customers and contacts informed of our latest content, activity, and services and to provide them with information about upcoming opportunities.

We process customer and client data and use direct marketing as part of this legitimate interest. It is necessary for us to use a variety of direct marketing channels and messages to ensure our contacts are kept informed, and wherever possible we make sure the messages we send are targeted and relevant. Any direct marketing that we undertake complies with e-privacy rules on consent.

We will keep your data safely and securely for as long as necessary or according to your instructions, and we review the data we hold at least once every two years. If you would like more information about how we store your data, please contact us directly.

In particular, you could expect to receive from us:

  1. Electronic notifications for public sector opportunities within your region / sector that may be of interest.
  2. Emails to promote use of our services. Wherever calls to action will lead to being added to a distribution list or contacted it will be clearly stated and you can opt out at any time.
  3. An electronic copy of our monthly newsletter to be kept up to date with AssuredBID news.
  4. Electronic alert messages. For example, we may notify you of a change of contact details.

Cookies and tracking

We use third party technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. However, no personal identifying information is collected or stored by us in relation to these activities.

 

Information from other sources

From time to time we may obtain information about you from third party sources, such as public databases (Contracts Finder and Tenders Electronic Daily), social media platforms, third party data providers and our joint marketing partners. We take steps to ensure that all such third parties are legally permitted or required to disclose such information to us.

We will not pass your contact details to other organisations unless you agree.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

  • Company name
  • Contact person within the company
  • Telephone number
  • Email address.

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by sending us an email. If you find any inaccuracies, we will make amendments where necessary.

Data breaches

In the event of a data breach, we shall ensure that our obligations under applicable data protection laws are complied with where necessary.

Storage of data

The company information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy, certified to Cyber Essentials Plus Certification. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your permission first.

Your rights over the personal data we hold

You can reasonably request access to the personal data we hold on you, at any time, and we will provide that information free of charge within one month of your request at the latest.

You can request inaccurate or incomplete personal data held on you to be rectified or completed, or for your personal data to be suppressed or erased, and we will respond within one month of your request at the latest.

Your right to object

You have the right to opt out of our direct marketing at any point, and we will deal with your request straight away. You can unsubscribe from our emails automatically; each email from AssuredBID contains an option to unsubscribe.
