London Borough of Ealing is seeking experienced Children’s Short Breaks providers who can achieve good outcomes for Children living in Ealing. Ealing Council currently spends approximately £1,640,000 per annum on Children’s Short Breaks.
The Council is procuring a new DPV for a period of Five (5) years, to commence in June 24, with the option to extend, in any increment, for up to 4 years. The total value is approximately £14,760,000, if all extensions used.
Short Breaks and respite are part of the continuum of services that support children, young people and their families aged 0-18 years.
The Council has a statutory responsibility to provide a range of quality Short Break Services, which can meet the needs of local families,. Services will be delivered from a range of Providers in the community across the borough of Ealing. Short Breaks also play a vital role in the Council’s Early Help and Safeguarding strategies, helping to support parent and carer capacity.
Children, young people and their families can access universally available activities in the community, although activities may not always be accessible to all of our families with bespoke, complex or profound needs. Commissioned short breaks are available to young people supported by the Children with Disabilities (CwD) service.
