DPS for Short Breaks and Childcare Services for Disabled Children and Young People and their Parents/Carers

Buyer: Nottinghamshire County Council
Sector: Government And Public Service
Location: East Midlands
Deadline Date: January 3, 2028 12:00 pm

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking to establish a provider list, using a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), of organisations able to provide Short Breaks and Childcare Services for Disabled Children and Young People and their Parents/Carers. See service specification for further details.

By using a DPS the Council wants to ensure that all qualified Providers have the opportunity to supply their services when they want to. Traditional approaches, which typically are opened every four years, can be inflexible and can “lock out” potential providers in-between tenders. Under a DPS Providers will be able to submit their application at any point in time whilst the list is in operation and these applications will be evaluated periodically.
The Provider list will target Providers that are able to provide the following;
• Individual Support
• Holiday, Play and Community Based Activities
• Children and young people with complex health needs
• Children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions
• Children and young people aged 11+ with moving and handling needs that will require equipment and adaptations
• Young people 14+
• Children and young people where challenging behaviour is associated with other impairments (e.g. severe learning disability)
